HOW MANY ROLLS COME IN AN ORDER?
An order comes with 4 frozen rolls in an oven safe container for your convenience. Orders also come with a 5oz package of cream cheese frosting in an easy to store container so you re-use the extra on anything just hanging out in your pantry or fridge.
HOW DO I KEEP MY PURCHASES FRESH?
You eat them quickly! Orders of rolls come frozen and the frosting is refrigerated. For best results you will want to keep those rolls frozen and thaw them overnight in the fridge or for a few hours on the counter before you bake them.
HOW LONG WILL THE ROLLS LAST IN THE FREEZER?
The dough contains yeast and over time in a freezer the yeast will die. Dough with dead yeast will not perform at all like we would want - leaving you rolls that will taste good, but dense, hard and a bit like hockey pucks. We've been able to get good performance out of the dough after 4 weeks in the freezer but we suggest that you leave them frozen for no more than 2 weeks. Also definitely DO NOT thaw and then refreeze your rolls.
ARE THERE ANY ALLERGENS IN THE ROLLS OR FROSTING?
The rolls contain wheat, eggs, dairy (butter and buttermilk) and yeast. The frosting contains dairy as well (cream cheese and butter).
DO YOU MAKE VEGAN AND/OR GLUTEN FREE ROLLS?
No. The current recipe is gluten heavy and made with non-vegan ingredients.
ARE THEY MADE IN A KITCHEN OR WITH MACHINES CONTAINING PEANUTS OR PEANUT OIL?
No. Both the rolls and the frosting is hand made in small batches without peanut cross contamination.
WHY DON'T ALL MY ROLLS LOOK THE SAME?
All rolls are made by hand. Some happy mistakes will be made as we perfect our processes.
WHAT TYPES OF PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT?
Currently through the website, we accept payment by credit card only.
WHERE CAN I FIND NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE ROLLS AND FROSTING?
Why would you want look at that? Grumpy's Underground Rolls are dangerously good - enjoy them in moderation.
DO YOU SHIP?
Unfortunately no. We are still in the early stages of the business and currently only provide rolls for pickup.
